Sister Germaine Fritz, O.S.B. of the Benedictine Sisters of Elizabeth entered into eternal life on July 21, 2024.

On Sunday, June 9, Sr. Rosemary Kenny, Vocation Director, and Sr. Dorothy Huggard joined vocation directors from several New Jersey and New York Religious Communities for a Young Adult Picnic.

At Vespers on Sunday, April 28, at St. Walburga Monastery, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, five men and women became oblates of the monastery.

On March 6, Sister Rosemary Kenny and Sister Dorothy Huggard, participated in a “virtual” Stations of the Cross for young adult Catholics organized by vocation directors.

On February 2, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the Community celebrated "Candelmas," the annual blessing of candles.

Sr. Rosemary Kenny, Vocation Director, and Sister Dorothy Huggard attended the Archdiocese of Newark’s “You Are Called” youth rally in Kearney, NJ, on Saturday, January 27.

Sr. Marita Funke and Sr. Philomena led a Candlelight Vespers to begin their annual Advent Sunday Vespers series at St. Joseph Parish in New Paltz, New York.

The Benedictine Sisters of Elizabeth were honored on Saturday, September 23, 2023, by the St. Joseph Parish community in New Paltz, NY, whom they have served for 75 years!

The first meeting of the new Oblate year will take place on September 10 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Walburga Monastery.

The Benedictine Sisters of Elizabeth at St. Walburga Monastery will host a Vocation Discernment Retreat Weekend October 6-8, 2023.
