Thomas Merton originally sought God in a cloistered life of silence and contemplation, but his search eventually revealed a call to serve the needs of the wider human community in a time of war, bias, and violence. With Merton as our companion on this retreat, we will consider what our own age calls us to do in response to God’s loving presence within us and in the often-broken world around us.
