On June 5, the monthly meeting of the Rosary Society of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, New Jersey, featured a talk by Sister Marlene Milasus on the broad scope of the Rosary as a prayer. In addition to the Mysteries of the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin, Sister Marlene included a partial listing of the various Rosaries and Chaplets that Catholics pray for special intentions, to honor various saints, or to express a particular devotion. The group learned that praying with beads is common to many of the major religious traditions, including Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists.
