The Community celebrated two individuals who have contributed to the mission of the community: John Hannan, financial advisor and Michele Hopkins, Preschool Director.
The Community Retreat was led by Sr. Karen Joseph, OSB, of Ferdinand, IN who reflected on “A Spirituality of Cenobitic Living." Eleven Holy Family Sisters of the Needy joined the retreat.
Sister Mariette Thérèse joined other Vocation Directors from the Newark and Paterson Dioceses Vocation Committees to offer programs to high school students.
The Feast of St. Benedict included the renewal of Oblation, the Oblation of Richard Jablonski, the 25th anniversary of Karen Tylutki and the posthumus oblation of Carol Chavonec.
On February 17, 2019 Sister Catherine Marie Beall, OSB, died as peacefully as she had lived. Serving as a cook for many years, may she now be seated at the heavenly banquet.
An Open House for the Community’s 150th Jubilee Year was held on October 7, 2018. It featured tours, light refreshments, story boards, a slide show and concluded with Vespers.

The benefit of smaller anniversary events is that there is more opportunity to visit with guests and to thank them for their help and friendship over the years.
